Nyonya Chicken Tempra by Florence Neo
Ingredients:
20 fresh mid chicken wings
1 big sweet onions (sliced)
2 tablespoons Maggi Seasoning
1 tablespoon Apple Vinegar
1 tablespoon coarse sugar
2 fresh chillies (diced)
Home made chicken broth enough to cover all ingredients
3- 4 tablespoons superior dark soy sauce
Method:
Marinate the mid chicken wings with Maggi Seasoning for 2 hours.
Heat oil in a saucepan and fry the sliced onions until fragrant.
Add diced red chillies and mid chicken wings into the pot.
Now add the dark soy sauce.
Followed by sugar and apple vinegar.
Stir and blend well all the ingredients.
Add water or home prepared chicken broth until it completely cover all the ingredients in the pot.
Simmer over medium high heat for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Check the water level and add more water if required.
Once the chicken meat are tender, turn off the heat.
Serve hot.
The gravy goes well with plain rice.
