Pan Roasted King Oyster Mushrooms by Michelle Heng
Ingredients (serve 3)
4-5 king oyster mushrooms
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
Sesame seeds
Steps
1. Wash and pat dry mushrooms with kitchen towel.
2. Slice the mushrooms lengthwise about 0.5cm thick. Thereafter score both sides as well. One mushroom can cut into 4 slices.
3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly for about 15 mins.
4. Pan roast each side of the mushrooms (no need to add any oil) in a non stick pan for about 2 mins or more depending on how caramelised you want your mushrooms to be.
5. Pan roast in batches if need be.
6. Cook any excess marinade and thicken with corn flour slurry till desired consistency before pouring over mushrooms.
7. Garnish with roasted sesame seeds before serving.
